Development of a calibrator for thermo-anemometer

This paper describes a newly developed calibrator for a thermo-anemometer, the sensors of which consist of an x-type hot-wire for velocity measurement and a single cold-wire for temperature measuremdent. The calibrator can easily provide a uniform smooth flow at a desired wind speed and temperature, in a range of wind speed U=0-3.5 m/s and in a wide range of temperature up to T=100 deg C. To measure the calibration wind speed accurately independent of temperature variation, the calibrator is equipped with specially designed sensors of a sonic anemometer in the test section.
