Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems are the highest level of computer applications. This paper presents the work we have done in order to realize a rules-based expert system, in the field of underground electrical equipment. There are presented in the paper the way we implemented the knowledge base for the area of expertise, knowledge base which is used by the expert system in order to get the required expertise, as well as few considerations about the implementation of the Expert System.
