The Virtual Height Dispersion Model is an air quality dispersion model developed to evaluate ground level concentrations from tall stacks (Rizza et al.). It relies on a new gaussian formulation proposed by Lupini & Tirabassi~2 for transport and diffusion in the Atmospheric Boundary Layer (ABL). In that formulation, the real source height is replaced by a virtual height related through wind and eddy diffusivity profiles to stability conditions of ABL. A performance evaluation of the model to different turbulent regimes was performed with tracer data from some experimental field campaigns.
