Use of a system of system simulation to determine asset deployment for USMC air defense missions

摘要

Understanding subsystem performance characteristics and data requirements is central to the determination of the best deployment of air defense assets. This paper will show how inclusion of these factors within a system-of-system simulation has allowed depolyment options to be identified which take advantage of the synergy between Marine Corps radar and missile system assets to maximize the effectiveness of air defense in depth.
