CEA, EDF and FRAMATOME have launched a large program, with experimental and computational aspects, in order to improve seismic design criteria for piping. A piping system representative of a PWR geometry, was tested under seismic conditions, on the shaking table AZALEE of the TAMARIS laboratory in CEA/Saclay. Piping components, similar to those of the above system, were tested in cyclic quasi-static conditions. Accurate and abundant instrumentation provided daa to qualify computational tools, both advanced elastoplastic dynamic methods as well as simplified methods.
