This paper proposes an identification method for a thin plate where multiple piezoelectric actuators and sensors are bonded. Since a thin plate has small damping ratios of all modes, each modal signal can be extracted with a bandpass filter corresponding to the mode. With the bandpass filters, the MIMO model can be converted to several multi-input single-output (MISO) models. Modal parameters of the MISO models are obtained by using LS method. The plate used for an experiment is an all-clamped plate with two pairs of piezoelectric actuators and sensors. The output of the identified model matches with the experimental data well.
