Coliquefaction of micro algae with coal was carried out under pressurized H_2 in 1-mcthylnaphthalcnc at 350 - 400°C for 60min. Coliquefaction has successfully proceeded in the presence of Fe(CO)_5 with excess sulfur as catalyst. Conversion and yield of hexane soluble fraction showed the same values as calculated from the additivity of the product yields of both components. With one to one mixture of Chlorella and Yallourn coal 99.8% of conversion and 67.3% of hexane soluble fraction were obtained at 400°C with Fe(CO)_5 at S/Fe=4.
