A Quality Function Deployment Approach to Task Organization in Peacekeeping Force Mission

摘要

This article presents a model for determining the composition of a United States peacekeeping force deployed to Bosnia. The model, which is loosely based on Quality Fucntion Deployment (QFD), uses three matrices in a series to relate the interests of stakeholdersinvolved in the conflict to the composition of the U.S. force deployed in Bosnia. the advantage of the model is to addfine tuning and precision to an otherwise ad hoc decision making process concerning the deployment of armed forces. The model can be used in other force composition planning scenarios.
