In order to effectively advise studnets, faculty need to possess accurate knowledge of the criterion that employers used for evaluating job applicatn during all phases of the job search process. We investigated important employment characteristics sought by recruiters from large, medium, and small public accounting firms when they select college students for an on-campus interview and then a follow-up office interview. The following text is an abbreviated version of our research paper.
