The block diagram of a developed eddy current instrument and its technical parameters for a nondestructive testign of zirconium alloy thin-walled tubes-fuel element claddings for pressure and boiling water reactors are described. Teh eddy current testing set permits the detection of some types of defects in tubes, which are not detected by the standard ultrasonic method under proudction conditions.
