Increase of the Substitution of Fuels Quantity from the Plant Designer's Point of View

The ambition to reduce the coke charge in the blast furnace lead to the use of substitution fuels. There are feeded to the blast fumace through the blast tuyers. As such gascous, liquid or solid materials can be utilized. Processed coal is widely used as a solid fuel. All coal grades (anthracite and flame coal, lignitic coal, coke and their blends) can be considered.
