ECHO CANCELLATION IN TELEPHONE SPEECH SIGNALS USING AN ADAPTIVE STEP SIZE LMS ALGORITHM

摘要

In this paper, the application of echo cancellation in telephone speech communications using an adaptive step-size LMS algorithm is presented. It requires dividing the filter coefficients into several sections, where the time-varying step size of each section is optimally computed to reduce the squared residual error. Results for real speech data are presented and comparison with traditional techniques is made to illustrated the applicability of the foregoing technique.
