1. The low priority preempt operation can be very effective in reducing bus travel time.2. The addition of a bus actuated left turn phase to the controller phasing which overlaps with the vehicle left turn phase is beneficial for bus operation. This operation can be used when it is possible to distinctly detect left turning buses and not create a "green ball trap" situation.3. Further investigation is necessary to determine why Scenario 2 - Low Priority and Scenario 3 - Medium Priority of this study (transit priority) did not result in benefit.4. The 3M Opticom System can be effectively used to collect travel time data of buses.
