A Project for Simulation Research and Industraial Applications in Thailand

摘要

The need for more efficient industrial practices should provide a rich opportunity for the application of simulation to industrial process optimization in Thailand. The project described in this paper, is, in part, specifically designed to build confidence in simulation technology, so that it would be more likely to be accepted in practice, while simultaneously promoting legitimate academic-oriented research opportunites. There exist certain imperatives for such research projects including quickly and efficiently initiating a significant, credible, visible, and productive research activity consistent with the mission of the host university. Thesee porjects must be cost effective and interdisiplinary; they must support graduate level research; support regional economic development and technology transfer; and advance the state of the art.
