Hypertext is a technique for information navigation, which takes advantages of allowing for the development of large informational spaces, a possibility of considerble merits for the computersation of operating procedures in nuclear power plants. This paper introduces hypertext-based techniques and our approach of human factors design to develop a hypertext-based navigation system, HyperEOPs, for effectively and efficiently managing emergency operating procedures (EOPs).
