The electron beam process: bench scale, pilot scale and field demonstrations

With the basic science in radiation chemistry relatively well established, the application to hazardous waste treatment has been the subject of both research and development by our group over the last eight years. The irradiation of water proudces three reactive species, the oxidizing OH, and two reducing species, H and e~-_(aq). These reactive species rapidly destroy regulated organic compounds in aqueous solution.
