The midcourse space experiment satellite ground station

摘要

This article describes the Midcourse Space Experimet Satellite Ground Station recently installed at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory Satellite Communications Facility. Descriptions of the hemispherical coverage antenna, the S- and X-band receiving/demodulating equipment, the L-band transmitting equipment, and built-in test equipment are provided. Also covered are system performance characteristics, compatibility with the Air Force Space Ground Link Subsystem, and the centralized computer control capability of the station.
