Recent advances inUltraviolet (UV)-curing coating technology are discussed. The work was done as part of an R&D project that was completed by Hughes Aircraft in 1995 (1). Its purpose was to develop hig perforance caoting systems that have zero discharge of volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions or hazardous waste generation. Included inthe research was the incorporation of certain propretary, non-toxic, corrosion-inhibiting prigments into the coating formulations
