The use of Hybrid Nonlinear Moments (HNL) is proposed to estimate the multipath channels in a mobile radio communication system using the vector outputs of a multielement receiver. The method we propose uses the outputs of the array to extract noise/signal subspaces and estimate the multiple channels, following the basic idea of [3] but exploiting a different statistics. The method is ttractive since it does not present the computational complexity exhibited by cumulant-based array processing techniques (for particular choices of the Zero Memory Nonlinear function)and because, being High Order Statistics based, has the ability to identify non-minimum phase systems.
