A series of field trials using a chemicaol simulant was conducted on sandy soil in the Expedrimental proving Ground of the Defence Research Establishment Suffield, located near Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canda. Seven trials were con-ducted with methyl salicylate thickened to a zero shear viscosity of six poise. Exploysive dissemination was sued to provide liquid drops. The measured total dosage fifty memeans of a previously developed mathematical model. The results of these trials are compared to those of similar trials conducted on prairie grassland.
