摘要

The authors examined the effects of the dynamic deflection of teeth on the characteristics of noise and vibration of plastic gears for power transmission using the gear testing machine. It becomes clear that the behavior of teeth deflection of plastic gear influences the characteristics. Especially, when the mesh frequency or one of the harmonics is close to the natural frequency of torsional vibration of gear shafting, the blank of plastic gear vibrates heavily and makes a big noise because the torsional vibration of shafting causes the large changes in teeth deflection of plastic gear in the mesh cycle and the increase in dynamic forces at the gear teeth.
