COEFFICIENT OF VARIATION AND ITS APPLICATION TO RELIABILITY-BASED MECHANICAL DESIGN

摘要

This paper deals with an application of the coefficient of variation to the characteristic analysis of the statistical distribution. By finding out the simplified relation between coefficient of variation and statistical parameter, one can analyze the appearance and the characteristics of statistical distribution with coefficient of variation. This paper also describe the facility of coefficient of variation in the approximate calculation of statistical parameter with an example.
