A New Anchor Radio System Handover Method for Personal Access Communications System (PACS)

摘要

This paper introduces a new handoff method, known as the Anchor Radio System (RS) method, for the Personal Access Communications System (PACS). This technique facilitates the inter-RS and inter-switch handovers. This method of handover relies on a new RS-to-RS interface, named in this paper as the Inter-RS Interface (IRI). This paper describes the use of the IRI Protocol among PACS based RSs. This anchor RS method for handoff provides a simple yet effective solution without adding new requirements to the existing network infrastructures.
