JOINING COMPONENTS OF A CARDIAC CATHETER TIP ASSEMBLY WITH ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE ADHESIVES

摘要

An investigation has been carried out to assess joining of two components of a catheter tip with electrically conductive adhesives. The catheter tip has been designed to function as part of an ultrasound imaging device for quantitative and diagnostic analysis of coronary arteries. It has been shown that an electrically conductive adhesive can be effectively used to join a piezoelectric transducer ring to a tungsten carbide tube as two components of the catheter tip.
