The mechanical properties of injection-molded plastics were affected by resin properties, mold geometry and molding conditions. A number of investigators (1) have attempted to study the morphology and orientation of injection-molded plastics using various experimental techniques such as polarized light microscopy, WAXD or SAXS, DSC, etc. Some of these methods had advantages of getting information about the microstrucure of molded specimens, but they need too much time to obtain enough information about the total microstructure of practical molding articles.
