The strategy for integrity assessement of fixed platforms is unique for each oil Company. Petrobras Production Department has established a policy for integrated actions between inspection and structural areas to fulfill this duty. The aim of this paper is to describe the evolution of this metodology that results in a database comprising the main results of the structural analysis together with all the inspection results. This database is updated before each inspection is performed, or in case of changing in the data used in the analisys (lay-out, loads, enviromental conditions, structural analysis state-of-art, etc...). The inspection results are used to calibrate the model and structural analysis, generating new inspection targets with a great level of relability and eficiency. This interactive process led to a great knowledge of the Petrobras fixed steel structures, and a significant resources saving, as the process reduced the areas to inspect. Besides, in a final aproach this process modified the interval between inspections and the non destructive methods used in each selected area, all this without a prejudice in the safety operation of the installations.
