The colloquial use of resins and elastomers in paleontological conservation and reproduction

A variety of resins have long been used to stabilize delicate fossil material and restore misisng areas. Our epxerience shows mixed resutls as a consequence of this use of resin. However, resins and RTV rubbers are the preferred materials in our molding and casting program. We have been able to pragmatically adapt these materials to our own specialized uses to produce exhibit quality reproductions of fossils.
