摘要

The concept Control Forging is very important in the forging processing of heavy forgings. The microstructure and property of heavy forgings have a very closed relationship to the heat-mechanical parameters in forging processing. In this paper, the dynamic recrystallization mechanism of ASME SA508 class 3 steel used for heavy forgings in nuclear pressure vessel has been researched. The softening relations have been given. Then the rigid visoplastic FEM has been used to simulate the inner dynamic grain size evolution of billet during upsetting processing. And the schematic drawings of the grain size evolution have been presented. The given results are very useful for the Control Forging of the heavy forgings in nuclear pressure vessel quality control.
