In this paper SiO_2-B_2O_3 glasses were prepared by the sol-gel method from silicon alkoxides and boronic acid. Effects of boronic acid and acidity and temperature on the gelling time were studied.SiO_2-B_2O_3 glasses in the different compositions and heat-treatment temperatures were discussed through the IR spectra.
