摘要

In this article, two new experimental methods for the characterization of the acid-base properties of planar oxide surface are described. Both are based on the DLVO theory. The first one consists of the determination of the isoelectric point (IEP) of planar oxide surface in an aqueous solution by a particle adhesion method. The second measures the direct interaction between a planar oxide surface and the Si_3N_4 AFM tip in an aqueous solution. This opens the possibility of local acid-base surface properties characterization.
