Samples of xLi_2O·(40 - x )BaO·60 SiO_2 and xLi_2O(35- x )BaO·65SiO_2 (mol %) electrode glasses were implanted with neodymium ions at dose rates of 2 ×10~(15), 1×10~(16), 5×10~(16) and 2 ×10~(17) ions/cm~2, using 70 KeV implantation machine at room temperature. The amounts of lithium extracted of unimplanted and implanted glasses after water attacking were determined by atomic absorption spectrometer. We found that the amount of lithium extracted decreased remarkably with increasing dose rate below 1 ×10~(16) ions/cm~2 but became slightly at a dose rate of 5×10~(16) ions/cm~2. A further analysis on the corroded glass surface has been made by SEM and IRRS in this paper as well.
