This article describes the cognition of the conception and the importance of the advanced manufacturing technology in China and gives a general introduction to the development features and the achieved successes of AMT and the existent gaps of AMT between China and the industry-developed countries. In addition, the development strategy and its priorities, the expected goal and the perspective of AMT are all outlined in this article.
