This article descibes the cognition of the conception and the importance of the advanced manufacturing technology in China and gives a general intrdouction to the devleopment features and the achieved successes of AMT and the existent gaps of AMT between China an dthe industry-developed countries.In additions,the development strategy and its priorities,the expected goal and the perspective of AMT are all outlined in this article.
