INTELLIGENT DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR EQUIPMENT DIAGNOSIS AND MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT

摘要

This paper reports an Intelligent Decision Support System (IDSS) for equipment diagnosis and maintenance management to be developed for the Central Textiles (HK) Ltd. A generic expert system model is developed for the design of different equipment diagnosis and maintenance decision support systems on the shop floors. An inference engine in this generic model is developed based on Bayesian Network or Causal Probabilistic Networks. By this model, several IDSS are further developed to support decision making in maintenance activity scheduling and control in an approach of integration of equipment working conditions, production quality, production system efficiency and production cost of the company.
