DATA BROADCASTING AND THE PROSPECTS OF ITS FUTURE APPLICATIONS IN CHINA

摘要

Data broadcasting is a new broadcasting service category after sound broadcasting and television broadcasting. The paper outlines the concept and context of data broadcasting and its applications abroad, with emphasis on US Subsidiary Communications. Authority (SCA) service, Euproean Radio Data System (RDS) and FM multiplex broadcasting in Japan, as well as teletext and its relevant services. After a brief introduction of the domestic development of data broadcasting, the paper discusses the prospects of future applications of data broadcasting according to the policy of the development of electronic information industry and market demand in China.
