Different matmentatical models, for the design of ozone bubble diffuser contactors are reviewed. The establishment of their gverning equations based on ozone mass transfer coupled with the concsumption of O_3 by the water of a specific micropollutant and their solutions permit to study the sensitivity of parameters on the performance of the ozone contactors. The final choice of the best model is made when tracer and ozonation tests are performed on the contactor in order to verify the model.
