In this paper, we have focused on the equalization performance of the KGA for communication over 3 kHZ bandwidth HF channels,We have studied and modified the KGA. The study and modification have been verified through computer simulations, The results indicate that KGA modification yields superior performance to KGA, in which there are higher stability and faster convergent rate than KGA, Finally, the TMS320C30 hardware realization gearing to the theory mentioned above is reported. The realtime processing performance of the algorithm is evaluated in terms of the equalizing rate and the memory (words) occupied by program and data.
