摘要

In this research we attempt to investigate of parameters which influence on properties of magnesia based NCC. In order to get best particle size distribution, in each fraction of particle sizes (fine, medium and coarse) modified Andreassen was applied. The mixtures were composed with magnesia, fine alumina, hydratable alumina, fine chromite and spinel. To prepare samples raw materials were mixed with 6% water, dried and fired under oxidized atmosphere at 1400°C-1600°C. To determine physical and mechanical properties tests were carried out according to ASTM standards. To investigate of microstructure and phase analysis SEM/EDS and XRD were used.
