Dynamic Web Markup Language (DWML) for Generating Animated Web Pages with Character Agent

摘要

Rapid growth of competition on the electronic market place calls for innovative communication modes with web users. In the last few years, character agents, based on real videos, cartoon-style drawings, or model-based 3D graphics, have become increasingly popular in user interfaces since they make the interface more lively and more appealing. When applied to the WWW, these animated characters bring more time-based information to web pages since they have verbal and non-verbal behaviors containing complex temporal information. However, present web scripts and existing hypertext models are insufficient to describe the complexity of web contents containing both dynamic and static information.
