摘要

An experimental study to investigate the characteristics of the hypersonic flow was performed at the NAL (National Aerospace Laboratory). This paper presents the results of experimental pressure distributions on an AGARD-E (hemisphere) model in the NAL large hypersonic wind tunnel at a nominal Mach number of 10 and free-stream Reynolds number per meter of 1.6, 2.6 and 3.7 x 10~6. The experimental results are discussed to evaluate the effects of the modification of the nozzle in comparison with the CFD and the theory. Moreover, the rate of specific heats T was also experimentally estimated by observing the detached shock wave from schlieren photographs.
