Sping Tide Networks enables service providers to implement customer-specific private network environments over public IP infrastructure. In this network design, thousands of users share the same physical network infrastructure, but the network interface provides a virtual segmentation of network resources so that traffic can be treated according to user-specific profiles. Aspects of traffic security, as well as bandwidth management, and the addressing structure of packets in a given traffic stream are contained within these profile specifications. This user-level of virtual segmentation is difficult to accomplish, and must be done at a scale of tens of thousands of users. Scale of deployment across a large population of users allows cost-effective delivery of services. This paper will explore the concepts necessary for building such scalable network architectures.
