This paper presents an adaptive beamforming algorithm for MC-CDMAsystem with adaptive antenna array. The proposed adaptive beamformingalgorithm for the MC-CDMA systems is derived by (1) calculating theerror signals between the pilot symbols of desired user and the receivedpilot signals in the frequency-domain, (2) transforming thefrequency-domain error signals into time-domain error signals, (3)updating the filter coefficients of the adaptive beamformer in thedirection of minimizing the MSE. The convergence behavior anduser-capacity improvement of the proposed approach are demonstratedthrough computer simulation by applying it to the MC-CDMA system in thepresence of interference from other users
