Power distribution systems for future homes

摘要

With the advent of power electronics and the increasing demand forDC power, a new power distribution system for future homes is proposed.The system consists of a power-factor-corrected AC-DC pre-regulator, abattery charger, a bi-directional DC-DC converter, a DC-AC converter, asmart energy meter and an intelligent energy management system. Issuesrelated to power quality, electricity pricing, enabling technologies,load requirements, design and compatibility are investigated. Theadvantages and feasibility of this system are also discussed
