Sliding mode control of los angeles 20-story benchmark structure

摘要

The paper presents the numerical simulation results of a passive control scheme, an active sliding mode control scheme, and a hybrid control scheme used for the seismic response control of the 20-story benchmark structure. The numerical results are presented in terms of the twelve evaluation indices. All schemes are observed to be effective in reducing the maximum and rms response quantities. For the post earthquake model, some degradation in the control effectiveness is observed, especially in reducing the maximum response.
