摘要

The health monitoring of structure is to detect the cumulative damage by the fatigue of structure for the vibration caused by transportation, wind and earthquake etc. It was reported by authors~((1),(2),(3)) that the discontinuities in response of acceleration occurred when the restoring force shift from elastic region to elasto-plastic region can be detected by wavelet analysis. The signal according to development of fatigue crack shall be detected the displacement, velocity, acceleration and dynamic strain etc.. Usually, the dynamic strain is measured by using strain gauges. However, the strain gauges are not suitable for long term monitoring because the bonding material used to attach them to structure will become creep for long time usage. Then, for eliminating the disadvantage in using strain gauges, the method to measure the dynamic strain by vibratory gyroscopes is proposed for the health monitoring of structure and the effectiveness is proved through experiments.
