Research activities in photonics at the national optics institute

The National Optics Institute (NOI) was incorporated on December 13, 1985, as a non-profit organization. The goal of this organization is to provide the Canadian optics industry with the support for research and development (R&D) and the technical assistance necessary to its growth. The Institute is currently working in three principal sectors, namely: lasers and their applications, opto-electronics (including optical communication), special optic elements and normalization and calibration.
