Feasibility of e-mail for clinical trial inclusion andrandomization

摘要

The feasibility of e-mail for trial inclusion and randomizationwas evaluated. In 100 experiments it was demonstrated that acceptabletransmission times could not be guaranteed, due to unforeseen delays inservers somewhere in the transmission track. Alternatively WWWtechnology proved to be a good solution, provided the security aspectswere taken care of. A number of experiments are given to illustrate thediverse possibilities and levels of security
