摘要

The purpose of this work is two-fold. First, theoretical performance signatures for the dual polarized transmission of Mstate quadrature-amplitude-modulated (M-QAM) signals over dispersive multipath fading channels is derived, showing that for the assumed minimum and non-minimum phase propagation models, cross-coupled interference exhibits noise-like behavior and impacts on digital radio outage in direct relation to its power level. Secondly, we propose a novel baseband structure that is capable of adaptively mitigating cross-polarized interference and affords performance signatures close to that achieved in singularly polarized M-QAM digital radio systems.
