A multi-hop packet radio network employing receiver directed Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) is considered. The network is modeled as a system of interacting queues, and sufficient conditions for the stability of the queueing system model are obtained. Under an independence assumption, approximate results for the mean packet delay in a symmetric network are given. The obtained results are then used to characterize the throughputdelay performance of a symmetric network employing frequency-hop spread spectrum signaling.
