Artificial islands: A distinct alternative

The paper focuses on the advantages of deploying artificial islands in certain key geographical locations. The type and feasibility of island construction depends on three major categories: environmental, demographical and political. A refraction analysis performed in the gravity regime to further enhance the environmental dependency parameter. The formulation utilizes a combination of Arthur's Ray Theory and Linear Wave Theory. It is shown that each island contains a distinct orthogonal grid pattern. Changes in the size of the lee shore are shown as a function of varying the radial length and slope of the island. Therefore, it is possible to protect the lee of an island from incident waves.
